Our Serendipitous Journey It all began on an app called Tinder. Our profiles aligned, and sparks flew through the digital ether. The connection was electric, conversations flowed effortlessly, until they didn’t. Like most fleeting encounters in the digital dating realm, our initial flame flickered out. But fate had other plans. We both moved on, swiping through life’s possibilities, until we found ourselves on another app: OKCupid. And there, in the sea of profiles, we matched again. Amit, ever the romantic, initiated the first message with a playful “And we meet again.” Meanwhile, Adam, blissfully unaware of their previous Tinder rendezvous, played along. Hours&nbsp;turned into days, and then it clicked. Adam realized that they weren’t strangers; they were two souls who had danced before, albeit briefly. Amit wasted no time—bold and unapologetic—and proposed a FaceTime date. Chemistry flowed through the screen, laughter echoing across the digital divide. An hour turned into eternity, and we agreed to meet in person. Our first date unfolded at Ozumo, a chic sushi spot in Santana Row, San Jose. The sushi was exquisite, but it was the company that left us breathless. Our second date took us to Redwood Regional Park in Oakland, where we hiked through towering trees, hearts racing in sync. And then, our third date—a daring leap—led us to Tulum, Mexico. What better way to know someone than to navigate foreign streets, language barriers, and unfamiliar currencies together? Our love story blossomed, defying odds and societal norms. We knew we’d found “the one.” Adam moved in with Amit, and soon after, we embarked on a joint adventure: buying our dream home. In September 2023, we unlocked the door to our shared future, slowly curating a haven where love thrives. Now, as we prepare to say “I do,” we invite you to witness our union. We’re breaking boundaries as an interracial gay couple, and we’re grateful for your support. Our promise to you: an exciting, unique wedding filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments. What Is a Punjabi Jaggo?A Jaggo is a joyful Punjabi pre‑wedding tradition that celebrates the upcoming marriage with music, dance, and lots of vibrant energy. The word Jaggo means “wake up”—and that’s exactly the spirit of the event: waking up the community to share in the happiness of the wedding.During the celebration, family and friends carry a beautifully decorated pot lit with candles or lights, taking turns dancing with it and passing it around. Guests often join in with decorated sticks, traditional songs, and lively dancing. It’s a colorful, upbeat night meant to spread excitement, bring loved ones together, and set the tone for the day ahead. Traditional Mehndi (Henna) will be provided at the Jaggo.
